lampstand

Imagine yourself standing at a window with heavy blackout curtains. The room is dark and full of anxiety, fear, longing, overwhelm, sadness, concern, guilt, envy and discontentment.

There is glorious healing light right behind the curtain, but so often we remain in the darkness. The choice is ours to either block the light and remain in the dark or surrender to the light. The barriers are numerous and we must remove anything that separates us.

Rather than focusing on what easily hinders us, we must turn all our attention towards freedom’s light. In a single moment we can be resourced by the love of God and embrace its power to shine into even the hidden corners of our house.

It is vital that we determine to open every window and let every ray of the light in. We live in a world where darkness threatens to engulf us daily like a storm cloud.

Even in the darkest days, our source of light is always present surrounding us. It is in the Word, in worship, in thanksgiving, in communion, in fellowship, in creation, in a child’s laugh. The light radiates love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, goodness and self control.

I have been given a Kingdom assignment to illuminate the light of the Holy Spirit in imagery that speaks, intimacy that satisfies, inheritance that empowers, and identity that transforms. God has given me vision for different coordinating ministries to walk our these missions.

I pray this website will be a window, a lamp, a reflector of Gods glorious light. He is my source of life. He has filled me with light that cannot be hidden just as described in Luke 11:33-36.

“No one would think of lighting a lamp and then hiding it in the basement where no one would benefit. A lamp belongs on a lampstand, where all who enter may see its light. The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. When your heart is open the light floods in. When your heart is hard and closed, the light cannot penetrate and darkness takes its place. Open your heart and consider my words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinions for revelation-light! If your spirit burns with light, fully illuminated with no trace of darkness, you will be a shining lamp, reflecting rays of truth by the way you live.”

God wants to awaken us to the full power of his transformative light. Proverbs 4:18 says, “The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn that shines brighter and brighter until full day.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2-11 tells us the day of the Lord (Jesus’ return) will take some by surprise, but not those who are children of the light.

“For you already know quite well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly and as a complete surprise. For while some are saying, “Finally we have peace and security,” sudden destruction will arrive at their doorstep, like labor pains seizing a pregnant woman—and with no chance of escape! But you, beloved brothers and sisters, are not living in the dark, allowing that day to creep up on you like a thief coming to steal. For you are all children of the light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night nor to darkness. This is why we must not fall asleep, as the rest do, but keep wide awake and clearheaded. For those who are asleep sleep the night away, and drunkards get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, we must stay alert and clearheaded by placing the breastplate of faith and love over our hearts, and a helmet of the hope of salvation over our thoughts. For God has not destined us to experience wrath but to possess salvation through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. He gave his life for us so that we may share in resurrection life in union with him—whether we’re awake or asleep. Because of this, encourage the hearts of your fellow believers and support one another, just as you have already been doing.”

What path will you walk in today? Matthew 7:13 tells us that narrow is the gate that leads to life. Dark calls to dark but light beckons to light. Which one will you allow to draw you today?

“But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.” – 1 Peter 2:9
